Today I opened my vintage shop on etsy, E. Benet Vintage!! I've been working for a while on this project. The next few days I will be posting around to show what I've been working on! Here are some photos from my shoot featuring products in the shop.  Enjoy!

The past few weeks,  I have been going back and forth between Indiana, Missouri, and Illinois participating in my favorite fall activities. Camping, pumpkin patches, scary movies, hot apple cider, kitten cuddling, and hiking through golden woods.

I love being so close to nature, especially when it comes to meeting animal friends. The pumpkin patch we visited had a small farm, and most of my trip was spent going from pen to pen, petting as many animals as I could reach. A beagle puppy particularly caught my eye; I immediately named him Bugle and inquired if I could keep him. Alas, no.

It is now roughly 50 days until I graduate college, and although everyone talks about the stresses of  "the real world", I am THRILLED to get started. My college career has been nonstop deadlines for the last 4 1/2 years and there has been a constant battle of priorities between my class load, work, extracurriculars, personal projects, health, social life, and family. Even the balance between my individual classes has been a strain, and in this long list of obligations, sacrifice has been mandatory.  Honestly, I do not see how "the real world" could be more stressful than college.

I am not implying that I don't expect to have stresses and responsibilities after I graduate. Stresses like bills, a 9-5 work day, working  a part time job for extra cash, etc. I have been mentally preparing for those bits of reality for years. But late nights finishing homework? Done. Deadline for not one, but eight different classes? Over.  Living six hours away from my family? Ending.  Moving every six months ? Definitely stopping.

If my cards fall just right, I will have the job I want in a few months and at the very least be making a steady income. And because I will be spending my time split between (hopefully) ONE job, rather than five, I hope to dedicate myself to the quality of my efforts. For once, all of my free time will not be signed away and I can spend my days truly prioritizing on what is important to me.

My family.
My home.
My art.
