Painting is one of my favorite past times. Preferably water color, but I am beginning to dabble in oil and acrylic.  The figures above are not typical of my work. Forever fascinated by faces, I am drawn to portraits. Lately, though,  body language has encompassed my creativity. In a single stance one can look strong, crippled, or powerful. Human bodies are identical yet so vastly diverse; the body conveys feelings we cannot say and reflects the complexity of the spirit. The body is a physical manifestation of the self and I imagine there is a lot to be read into it.

I'm quite pleased with these. Perhaps a figure drawing class is in my future....
